These nails are as simple as three coats bottom or 1st coat a solid dark color, like black or dark red. 2nd coat is the crackle, I choose a silver crackle, which crackled as it dried, revealing the dark color underneath. Finally I polished a clear coat over all, to protect the crackle from chipping, and give an even shine, in fact two coats of clear, is better!

Ombre!
I selected 3 jewel toned colors, polished the lighter color first, let it dry. Put a coat or two of clear, let it dry than using a dish put a drop of the blue, soaked a cosmetic sponge in polish remover, pressed some out, and dipped the sponge in the blue, tested it on the dish than at random spots on my nails, when dry, another coat of clear, repeat with the red. and last coat of clear.
